Application

Can be used for interior applications ideal for New floor and wall tiling, Economical & easy to use on Cement Mortar Bed, Cement Plaster, and Brick Masonry.

Clean and roughen the surface to be tiled, Remove dust,Grease,Oil,Paint Etc.All surfaces should be between 40*F (4*C) and 104*F (40*C) Dry dusty concrete slabs or masonry should be dampened, and excess water swept off. Installation may be made on a damp surface. For new concrete slab should be cured for 28 days before application. Always provide expansion joints. Do not cover the expansion joints with adhesive.  Add Chennai Paints- Grey adhesive in a clean mixing bowl. Add 5.5 to 6 Lts of portable water to 20 kg bag. mix by hand or use a slow speed stirrer to form a thick lumps free and trowel able paste, Add little more water if required to obtain workable mix. Remix and apply with proper sized notched trowel. Leave the adhesive to stand for 10-15 minutes before using.

Apply the adhesive with the flat side of the trowel and press firmly, Adjustments if any can be made within 10 minutes. Use the proper sized notched trowel to ensure full bedding of the tile. Back butter when large format tiles (> 12” x 12”) to provide full bedding and firm support. Remove the residual material before drying. (Addition of Chennai Paints Grout Admix+ partially or completely replacing water would enhance the bond and flexibility of adhesive.) Use spacers to provide grout joints between tiles/ stones. When the adhesive is set remove the spacers.
