Application
- This putty has a special acrylic binder that ensures it has strong grip on the surface, herby increasing the life of the paint film.
- Chennai paints acrylic water based putty is to be used only on interior surfaces.
- It has better alkali resistance thus making it more suitable for new walls. It can be applied on old walls as well.
- It enhances breath ability and lesser porosity compared to other conventional putty improving the performances of paint much better.
- Due to the putty’s exceptional whiteness and smoothness, paint like emulsion when painted over it will look richer.
- Allow all new masonry surfaces to dry out completely.
- Remove all loose or defective paint or powdery residue by scraping. Treat any Area affected by lichens, algae and moss with proper surface treatment chemicals.
- Fill up all minor cracks and defects with putty after applying one coat of Chennai paints super prime wall primer (water base). Allow it to dry.
- Then sand with emery paper to smoothen the surface. The powder from sanding has to be wiped out completely.
- Apply second coat of Chennai paints wall primer (water base) on the puttied surface. Always apply primer in thin coats.
- Apply the putty using trowel, putty knife and leveller. No need to add additional water, as it is ready to use.
- Always store the containers in upright position, with the lid tightly closed, in a cool dry place
- Ensure good ventilation at all times. Do not breathe vapour or spray. Avoid Inhalation of dust by wearing a suitable nose pad during sanding and surface preparation. Wear eye protection during application.
